With this induction, it works best if you are directly in front of the subject, and you take the arm that is directly opposite you. Take the subject’s arm, and hold it above the wrist, the same as you did for the arm pull induction. You are overloading the subject by having them try to follow your (difficult) instructions, whilst also physically distracting them, before giving them a quick shock to get them into hypnosis.Īsk the subject if they’re ready to go into hypnosis, and check for any physical reasons that this induction would not be suitable (see the safety/contra-indications section for details). The subject will very quickly become confused, at which point you tug their arm and tell them to “sleep”. Then, with your other hand, you wiggle your fingers as you move the hand around in front of their face in a completely different random pattern. ![]() The butterfly fingers induction consists of moving one of the subject’s arms around randomly in all different directions. The butterfly fingers induction can be a little tricky to but when you get it right, it’s a very impressive and effective induction (and works great for overly analytical and anxious subjects where other rapid inductions may not).
